Sweeping Oceans: Outfit for Arts Ball

“Just around the corner in every woman’s mind – is a lovely dress, a wonderful suit, or entire costume which will make an enchanting new creature of her” – Wilhela Cushman.
I love going to balls. I don’t know if it’s the hours spent shopping for the right gown, or getting ready with the girls before the event, or just the enchanting feeling of regality and class a formal night gives me. But either way, I love it. So as expected I had a ball (not pun intended) putting together this blog post.

For this occasion I strayed away from my usual monotone palette and went for a classy little blue number. This dress from George is extremely flowy and sweeps beautifully with every movement. It’s also convertible, so you can organise and tie the straps however you’d like depending on the mood of the night and since I love anything backless or halter neck, I decided on a plunge neckline and an open T-back. My accessories were simple – a thin silver necklace, a black leather clutch and my Jeffrey Campbell Soirees.
